The Philadelphia Inquires website, the largest newspaper in the city, has stopped publishing stories about the city after it became a hotbed of anti-Trump demonstrations.
“The Inquirers editorial team is focused on covering our stories in the best light possible and will continue to do so,” a statement read.
But the news website also stopped publishing a series of stories that focused on Philadelphia’s housing crisis, the city’s unemployment rate, and its treatment of immigrants.
“We have been told by our advertisers that we are not allowed to talk about this in the future,” a spokesperson for the Inquires said.
“In addition, the Inquireres editorial team does not tolerate the harassment of any reporter, including the ones who are writing about this subject.”
